SHER presented the conclusions of the feasibility studies to improve access to water for agriculture and for the development of the market gardening sector in the Gontougo Region.
On 16 February 2023, SHER delivered to the Gontougo Regional Council the conclusions of various studies carried out by our teams as part of the project to improve access to water for agriculture and for the development of the market gardening sector in the region. The aim of the project, led by SHER and financed by AFD, is to enable local populations to develop new financial sources through the creation and rehabilitation of hydro-agricultural facilities. It is part of a project to support the economic and ecological development of rural areas in the Gontougou region.
At the final workshop, SHER presented the conclusions of two feasibility studies and studies for the rehabilitation of two rice-growing sites, a pastoral reserve and three market-gardening sites. The project attracted a great deal of media attention, and thus the final workshop was the subject of a report broadcast on Ivorian television.
